San Antonio STEM Magnet has spaces for the following grades for next school year beginning August 2026: Kindergarten, 1st, grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade. Our STEM magnet offers more experiences with hands on, problem solving, creative, and exploratory experiences in science, technology, engineering, and math challenges. Information

Magnets offer theme-based instructional opportunities to students in grades K-12, living within the boundaries of LAUSD. Currently, there are 292 Magnet programs located throughout the district. All district students, including English Learners, Special Education, and Gifted/Talented are encouraged to apply.

Here at San Antonio STEM Magnet, ALL Students are welcome! Teachers strive to integrate STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) into daily learning activities. STEM magnet students have access to the STEM Lab and the numerous materials and technologies available to tinker, create, and solve engineering challenges. 4th and 5th grade students participate on robotics teams and represent San Antonio STEM Magnet at district competitions. Our scholars learn to be leaders!

All parents who wish to enroll in our Magnet school must apply through the Choices brochure paper application, or online at:https://choices.lausd.net/

The current on time Choices application period for the 2026-2027 school year lasts until November 14, 2025. Late applications may be accepted after February 3, 2026.

Admission is by priority points generated by your child's application, and based on space available. Choices brochures and applications will be available in all LAUSD schools, Educational Service Centers, LAUSD Headquarters, Parent Community Services Branch, and any Los Angeles County Libraries. Applying for Magnet Programs

San Antonio STEM Magnet has limited openings in all grade levels currently Kinder-5th, for school year 2026-2027. All students are encouraged to apply.

Any student at any grade level may apply for any magnet school in the district. If you need help with this, contact Mr. Little at the school (323) 582-1250 or by email [email protected]
